SCO Individual Hardware Certification Program

Overview

The SCO Individual Hardware Certification Program is designed for IHV’s or OEM’s that want to certify a single computer system or peripheral on SCO Operating System platforms and list them as Certified on SCO’s Compatible Hardware Web Page (CHWP). This program allows participants to send their hardware solutions to SCO for per-product certification.

Features and Benefits

• Vendor can certify a single product and/or OS release as needed
• Certified product is listed in the Compatible Hardware Web Page (CHWP)
• Certification is performed by SCO engineers at SCO
• Certified product is supported by SCO Technical Support department
• Enables vendors to assure their SCO customers of compatibility with SCO Operating Systems
• SCO works with vendor to resolve any technical issues identified during the certification process
• Password protected access to SCO’s Online Service Manager, which includes:
• SCO’s Knowledge Center for current products
• Automatic notification service of new technical articles, patches and product announcements
• Your support account information and activity
• Ability to submit new Service Requests (SRs) via the web

Certification is valid only for the SCO Operating System and vendor product revision tested. SCO recommends that computer systems submitted for certification contain components that have been SCO individually certified on SCO platforms. Certified equipment will remain at SCO for a period of no less than two years. Exemptions can be made for high-end or one of a kind systems.
