SCO Partner Engineering Services

Overview

SCO’s Partner Engineering Services are designed to provide technical assistance to manufacturers of computer hardware and software (OEM) and to members of the developer community while porting, migrating, or developing device drivers and applications. This program provides participating SCO partners with the services needed to facilitate product development and assure product compatibility with SCO Operating Systems. A Hardware Certification option is available for those customers wishing to have their hardware certified and listed on the SCO Hardware Database.

The SCO Partner Engineering Services Program provides direct access to SCO product plans, roadmaps and development engineering. This service is designed for vendors who want to take advantage of the latest enhancements in SCO’s products at the earliest opportunity. An engineering relationship can assure product compatibility from day one.

• Interface with 3 rd party vendors on partner’s behalf
• Priority issue escalation
• Shortened product development cycle and time to market
• Products and updates can be synchronized with SCO’s roadmap
• Password protected access to SCO’s Online Service Manager, which includes:
• SCO’s Knowledge Center for current products
• Automatic notification service of new technical articles, patches and product announcements
• Your support account information and activity
• Ability to submit new Service Requests (SRs) via the web

For those manufacturers who also wish full and unlimited SCO Certification of their products and listing on SCO’s Certified Hardware Web Page, SCO provides Hardware Certification as an available option to the Engineering Services program. Vendors have the option of sending their hardware to SCO for certification or to self-certify their systems or peripherals at their own location.

The SCO Hardware Certification option to Partner Engineering Services provides the following additional features and benefits:

• Unlimited Computer System and Peripheral Certifications
• Certification Test Suite
• Ability to self-certify hardware at vendor’s location
• Listing of hardware certifications on the SCO Certified Hardware Web Page (CHWP)
• Assistance in troubleshooting certification issues
• Periodic system audits
